Sameness.

I read this in a NYT interview with Arthur Frommer, the dude who does all those travel guides that are oh so handy for going somewhere. Q: What has been your greatest discovery while traveling? A: The sameness of all people, all over the world. From the mother of a Masai family in Kenya to a young couple in Japan to an Egyptian teacher living on a houseboat, all people have the same basic concerns and deal with the same human problems that we do. I think that's why songwriters are necessary. They point out how we're all the same.
